Feni Shibir Hosts Football Tournament in Memory of July Martyrs,Falahia Madrasah Lifts Trophy.

Staff Reporter. ​Amidst the vivid memories of the bloody July uprising and the vibrant enthusiasm of the youth, the "July Martyrs Memorial Inter-Thana Football Tournament 2026" came to a spirited conclusion. Organized by Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir, Feni City Unit, to mark the second anniversary of the July uprising, the fiercely contested tournament ended with Al Jamiatul Falahia Kamil Madrasah claiming the championship title after defeating their rivals in the final match. ​The sporting event, which kicked off on July 26, featured a total of 26 teams from various areas across Feni. Following intense on-field battles, trophies were recently awarded to the winners in a grand closing ceremony. ​Presided over by Shafiqul Islam, President of Feni City Chhatrashibir, the prize-giving ceremony was attended by the organization’s Central Sports Secretary, Mushfiqur Rahman, as the chief guest. ​Addressing the gathering, chief guest Mushfiqur Rahman said: ​"The youth must step forward to realize the dream of a just society and the freedom achieved through the ultimate sacrifice of the July movement’s martyrs. Sports not only ensure physical health but also foster honesty, discipline, and unity among the young generation." ​Speaking as a special guest, Muftah Abdul Hannan, Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Feni District Unit, paid deep tribute to the July martyrs. Urging the youth, he remarked: ​"This nation will never forget the sacrifices of the martyrs. Today's youth must stay away from drugs and all forms of antisocial activities, devoting themselves to sports and healthy social engagements." ​Concluding the event, Feni City Chhatrashibir President Shafiqul Islam expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the guests, players, and spectators. He pledged to continue organizing such sporting events in the future to keep the youth united and engaged. ​The entire event was conducted and overall supervised by Enamul Haq, Secretary of Feni City Chhatrashibir. At the end of the ceremony, guests presented the trophies and prizes to the champion team, Al Jamiatul Falahia Kamil Madrasah, as well as the runners-up.
