Woman strangled to death in Uttara Dakshinkhan house, property looted.

Staff Reporter. A woman was strangled to death by miscreants in Jamtala Gali in Faydabad area under Dhaka's Uttara Dakshinkhan police station. The incident took place in a flat on the second floor of the building. The woman was killed by cutting the grill on Thursday afternoon, said Mirza Tarek Ahmed Beg, Deputy Commissioner of Uttara Division of Police. He also said that in addition to the murder, the house's belongings were looted. The deceased woman's name is Sara Roksana Pinu. She has two school-going sons and a daughter. However, the woman told the police that she was alone in the house at the time of the incident. Mirza Tarek Ahmed Beg said that the miscreants cut the grill and strangled the woman to death after 3 pm and looted her belongings. Hasin Tanu, the daughter of the deceased, said that when she returned home from school at 3:30 pm, she saw that the window grill was cut. Her mother was lying on the bed with a pillow over her face. After knocking on the door, she did not get up and felt very cold. She then ran back to the school and informed the headmaster. He informed her father on the phone. The father informed the police. The Crime Scene Unit of the CID has collected evidence and fingerprints.
