The Feni Battalion (4 BGB) has launched a humanitarian initiative providing free medical services, medicines, and educational supplies to underprivileged residents and students in the border areas of Parshuram upazila. Alongside these distributions, an awareness meeting was conducted, and leaflets were distributed regarding flood preparedness ahead of the upcoming monsoon season.
The day-long humanitarian and social welfare activities were carried out today across the border areas of Parshuram.
Senior officials of the Feni Battalion (4 BGB) attended the event to distribute the aid to the local community. An experienced medical team from the BGB operated a day-long medical camp, providing free prescriptions and essential medicines to a large number of helpless and underprivileged people from remote border areas.
In addition to the healthcare services, notebooks, pens, and various other educational materials were gifted to local school children to encourage them in their studies. The students expressed great joy upon receiving these gifts from the BGB.
Meanwhile, considering the geographical location of the Feni region, a special meeting was organized to raise awareness among locals about tackling potential natural disasters. During the meeting, BGB officials provided crucial guidelines on pre-flood preparations, what to do during a flood, and emergency contact procedures. Later, awareness leaflets were distributed among the attendees.
BGB officials stated that along with safeguarding the borders, standing by the border residents and working for their welfare is a regular and moral responsibility of the BGB. The 4 BGB remains fully committed to improving the quality of life for local communities and supporting them during any disaster.
Local representatives and civil society members warmly welcomed this exceptional and humanitarian initiative by the BGB. They remarked that the BGB's efforts to address the health, education, and awareness of ordinary people—in addition to guarding the borders—are truly commendable
