Three Killed in Separate Road Accidents in Faridpur

Staff Reporter Biplob Kumar Das. Three people, including a woman, were killed in three separate road accidents in Faridpur Sadar and Madhukhali Upazilas. On Monday, on the Dhaka-Khulna Highway in Kanaipur, three passengers on a motorcycle fell onto the road after being hit by an easy-bike. At that time, one of them was hit by a speeding bus and died.The other two passengers were injured.The injured were rescued and sent to Faridpur Medical College Hospital The deceased has been identified as *Suad*, son of Md. Mizanur Rahman from Hat Gobindapur in the same upazila. Earlier, in front of the main gate of Faridpur Medical Institute,an elderly man named Anwar Hossain (60) was critically injured after being hit by a battery-powered auto rickshaw. He was admitted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital and died around noon. He was the son of the late Jobbar Mia from Chanra village, Kamarggram Post Office, Alfadanga Upazila Faridpur District. Meanwhile, in Madhukhali Upazila of Faridpur an elderly woman named Mocha. Amena Begum (70) was killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Khulna Highway. She was the wife of the late Elahi Sheikh from Mashkandi village in the upazila. The accident occurred on Monday afternoon in the Majhkandi area of the upazila. While crossing the road, Amena Begum was hit by a motorcycle and thrown onto the road, dying on the spot. Md.Zahir Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Karimpur Highway Police Station said that upon receiving news of the accident, police went to the scene, prepared a surat-hal report of the body, and handed it over to the family.
