The victim's family held a press conference against Abdul Haque, a fourth-class employee of Khanakuniyari PERC Fazil Madrasa and the president of the managing committee of the West Kadamtala Independent Ebtedayi Madrasa. The victim's family from Khanakuniyari held the press conference at the Pirojpur Press Club auditorium on Tuesday afternoon.
In a written statement at the press conference, the victim, Md. Manik Sheikh, said that Abdul Haque is a fourth-class employee of Khanakuniyari PERC Fazil Madrasa and the president of the regular committee of the West Kadamtala Independent Ebtedayi Madrasa. He has been hiding his name and title and showing off his power for years and has established a reign of heinous injustice.
In the last five years, he has embezzled about 1.4 million taka from at least 10 people by tempting them to provide jobs to ordinary innocent people and unemployed youth of the area. When they protested about his injustice, he harassed them by filing false cases.
In addition, there are no regular classes in the West Kadamtala Independent Ebtedayi Madrasa and there are no residential students. However, Abdul Haque has been receiving various government allocations and inconveniences for a long time by submitting fake and fabricated lists of at least 170 students to various government offices.
Victim Monira Jasmine said that the fraudster Abdul Haque took 200,000 taka from her in cash by falsely promising her a job. Now she is not in contact with him anymore.
The victim, Atiqur Rahman, said that Abdul Haque had taken away three lakh taka by showing his inclination to appoint him as the headmaster of the West Kadamtala Independent Ebtedayi Madrasa. Despite repeated requests, he did not return the money.
In this regard, the accused, Abdul Haque, said that he denied all the allegations made against him in this regard. He claimed that a conspiracy was being hatched against him.
The press conference was attended by Md. Manik Sheikh, Abdur Razzak, Md. Atiqur Rahman, Monira Jasmine, and the victim's family members from the West Kadamtala area.
