Video of Employee Sleeping in Office Viral in Dimla, Served with Show-Cause Notice.

A video of Shamsun Nahar an employee of Goyabari Union Land Office in Dimla Upazila, Nilphamari, sleeping during office hours has gone viral on social media. In connection with the incident, Upazila Assistant Land Officer Roushan Kabir has issued a show-cause notice to the employee. The incident occurred around 3:30 PM on Monday (August 3) at the Goyabari Union Land Office. At that time, several people present at the office saw the concerned employee sleeping during official hours. Later, a video of the incident was recorded and published on social media, after which it spread quickly. Regarding this, Goyabari Union Land Officer Abu Raiyan said, "I had a meeting at the Upazila office at 4 PM, so I left the office around 3:30 PM. After that, Shamsun Nahar was in the office. She has been suffering from illness for a few days. However, after learning about the incident, she has already been served a show-cause notice." Dimla Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Roushan Kabir said, "There is no scope for negligence in duty during office hours. The matter is being taken seriously. If the allegation is proven true, necessary action will be taken against the accused as per government rules." Dimla Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Imranuzzaman said, "A show-cause notice has already been issued to the concerned employee following the incident. After receiving her written response, further necessary action will be taken as per the rules." Meanwhile, attempts were made to contact the accused employee, but she could not be reached.
