Bagerhat Medical Foundation Launched for Underprivileged People.

Masum Howlader, Bagerhat. The Bagerhat Medical Foundation, has started its journey with the goal of ensuring specialized and mental health services free of charge or at a low cost for the underprivileged people of Bagerhat district. Yesterday evening, a committee was formed at the Bangladesh Supreme Court Cafeteria in Dhaka with doctors, health experts, lawyers, social workers, journalists, businessmen, government and non-government officials, and distinguished persons from Bagerhat working in the country and abroad. The meeting was chaired by Senior Professor Dr. S. M. Abu Jafor of Evercare Hospital. The event was hosted by Dr. Md. Faridul Islam, former Secretary of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and President of the Officers' Forum and Dr. Rafiqus Salehin, Vice Chancellor of Khulna Medical University. The presentation was made by Md. Rafiqul Islam Jaglu, CPA and US expatriate, Chairman of Latif Master Foundation. Those present at the meeting included: Sheikh Faridul Islam State Minister for Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. Barrister Sheikh Md. Zakir Hossain Administrator of Bagerhat District Council, Jahangir Hossain Chowdhury, Former Additional Secretary.
