The elephant was seized following an accident while extorting money on the road in Sadarpur upazila of Faridpur.Details of the Elephant IncidentThe Accident: On July 28, an electric-powered easy-bike overturned while trying to avoid extortion by an elephant on the road in the Atroshi area of Sadarpur upazila.Casualty A 10-month-old infant named Arisha Jannat died on the way to Faridpur Medical College Hospital due to the accident.Crisis at the Station: The seized elephant faced a food crisis and management issues while kept at the Sadarpur Police Station compound under special supervision for a week.Court Order: The court ordered the elephant to be returned to its rightful owner, and the police planned to hand it over after completing legal procedures.
