Mob Culture Suddenly Emerges in Sarankhola, Bagerhat.

Special Reporter. Sarankhola Press Club Attacked!!! On 07.08.2024 at around 8:00 PM the Sarankhola Press Club was attacked and vandalized. Air conditioners and furniture were smashed. Press Club President Ismail Hossain Liton, and General Secretary Mohidul Islam, were seriously injured. The two injured were admitted to Sarankhola Upazila Health Complex, 20-25 miscreants took part in the attack. Two computers and other belongings were looted. To commemorate the day, a special prayer was organized in Sarankhola to honor the soldiers of the pen. Disturbing News, Three of those who attacked the Sarankhola Press Club in this manner have been identified. Two days earlier, on Thursday 05/08/2026, in Rajoir village, Khontakata Union, Sarankhola, a group of 20-25 armed men led by Elias, son of the late Khalil from in front of Sarankhola Govt. Honors College, Abul Boyati of Boyati Bari,Miraj Gani from Rayenda Bazar and Sipon Fokir and associates attacked the house of the Editor of _The Daily Bangla Sky_ with local weapons. They broke the lock of the scissor gate, entered the house and vandalized everything. They looted gold jewelry and cash. Regarding this, the head of the family, the Editor of _The Daily Bangla Sky_, contacted The UNO Sarankhola upazila, and The OC of Sarankhola Police over the phone, but has received no resolution so far. The sons, daughters and housewife of that family are living in fear for their lives. Elias, Abul Boyati, Miraj Gazi, and Shipon Fakir and Raynda Bazar associates are reportedly patrolling at night on motorcycles with local weapons and sticks. Because of this, no one from the Editor of _The Daily Bangla Sky_'s family can enter their house. This is part of mob culture. In the interest of the country, locals believe that full security for the people needs to be ensured without any delay. In the same pattern, a group of 20-25 people on 07/08/2024. attacked the President and General Secretary of Sarankhola Press Club and vandalized the Press Club. The identified attackers are Elias, son of Khalil, Abul Boyati of Boyati Bari, Miraj Gazi from Rayenda Bazar, and Shipon Fakir and associates। The same situation has now gripped Sarankhola. When speaking with Rafiq from Gymtola yesterday, he said, Today on 07/08/2026 some people came from Rayenda Bazar to Gymtola, picked one person up from his house and beat him on the road. Speaking with farmer Ashraf Uddin from Amragachhia,he said, There is fear in every house in the village. Thefts are happening. People's cows and goats are being stolen and there is no one to look into it. If you speak up, you will be beaten on the road. Abdul Hai from Dhansagar said, Brother, we are living in extreme fear. No matter which party is in power, this should not be happening. They are beating people in front of our eyes, snatching things, and demanding extortion. If we protest, our lives will be at risk. As it is, income is low and the prices of daily necessities are extremely high. We can't tolerate this anymore. Suman Khalifa from Sarankhola said, "I don't dare to go out after evening. First, the number of river pirates with ill intentions has increased. Second, if they can pick someone up, they will demand ransom for release.
