7 Accused Arrested and Looted Goods Recovered in 32-Hour Breathtaking Operation by Jorarganj Police in Robbery Case.

Jwel Nag Mirsarai correspondent. Jorarganj Police Station, Chattogram. On 09/08/2026 between 02:00 AM and 02:45 AM a gang of 10-15 robbers broke into the under-construction factory of Bangladesh Auto Industries Limited at Mirsarai Economic Zone under Jorarganj Police Station. They robbed 3 mobile phones of the guards on duty at the factory and valuable items including an estimated 250 meters of electric cable. In connection with this incident, Jorarganj Police Station Case No. 9, dated 09/08/2026, Sections 395/397 of the Penal Code was registered. The investigation of the case was assigned to SI (Armed) Abdullah Al Masud, Immediately after receiving news of the incident, under the overall direction of Mr. Md. Masud Alam, BPM, Superintendent of Police, Chattogram and under the supervision of Mr. Nadim Haider Chowdhury, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Mirsarai Circle an operation was conducted in the Mirsarai Economic Zone and surrounding areas by the case’s Investigating Officer SI (Armed) Abdullah Al Masud along with accompanying officers and forces, led by Officer-in-Charge of Jorarganj Police Station, Mr. Mohammad Abdul Halim After a 32-hour breathtaking operation, 7 robbers were arrested from the Mirsarai Economic Zone area. Based on information provided by arrested robbers Mehedi Hasan (23), Md. Rakib (21) and Emdadul Haque Emran (28),the looted electric cable was recovered at around 04:45 AM on 10/08/2026, Out of the 7 arrested robbers, 1 robber has been taken to the Honorable Court for recording a confessional statement.
