Tree Plantation Program Held at Chhagalnaiya's Daulatpur Primary School, BNP and Affiliate Leaders Join Hands

Jahangir Alam, Staff Reporter In line with the recent 'National Primary Education Medal' distribution ceremony held at the China-Bangladesh Friendship Exhibition Center in Dhaka in the presence of Prime Minister Tarek Rahman, a colorful tree plantation campaign was observed at Daulatpur Government Primary School in Ghopal Union (No. 10) under Chhagalnaiya upazila of Feni. ​The program was organized to promote greening and ecological balance on the school premises. School teachers, along with local leaders of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its associate organizations, actively participated in the event. ​Among others, former and current members of the School Management Committee (SMC), the president of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) committee, young Cub Scouts, and general students were also present at the event. ​Speaking at the program, the speakers emphasized that there is no alternative to planting trees to protect environmental balance and combat the risks of climate change. They highly praised the initiative at Daulatpur Government Primary School, calling it a commendable step aligned with the central program. ​Later, the guests, joined by the students, planted various species of fruit-bearing, timber, and medicinal saplings on the school grounds. They also urged the young Cub Scouts to take proper care of the newly planted saplings to ensure their growth.
