Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam has announced a 50% discount on airfare and 36% discount on hotels and motels for July warriors and martyrs' family members. She made the announcement at a July warriors' honoring and discussion program organized by the Bangladesh Tourism Corporation on Tuesday (August 11) evening. Minister Afroza Khanam said that a 50% discount will be given on airfare for July warriors and martyrs' family members. In addition, a 36% discount will also be given on hotels and motels of the Tourism Corporation for July warriors and martyrs' family members in commemoration of 'July 36'. Speaking as a special guest at the event, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Rashiduzzaman Millat said that recently, the freedom fighters of 1971 are being compared with the July 2024 fighters, which is not logical in any way. He commented that the 1971 fighters liberated the country, while the 2024 fighters protected the country's sovereignty. The July fighters were honored at the event.
