Bhanga lost control of motorcycle and hit the railing, 1 killed, 1 injured.

Biplap Kumar Das, Staff Reporter: A youth named Nafiz Sheikh (18) was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle and hit the road railing in Banga, Faridpur. Another rider named Suman Sheikh (19) was seriously injured in this incident. The accident took place on Tuesday (August 18) afternoon at the Bhanga Bishwaroad roundabout on the Bhanga-Mawa-Dhaka Expressway. The deceased Nafiz Sheikh is the son of Jahangir Sheikh of Hazrakanda village of Gharua Union of Bhanga Upazila and the injured Suman Sheikh is the son of Delwar Sheikh of the same village. Police and eyewitnesses said that Nafiz and Suman were going towards Maligram on a motorcycle in the opposite direction from Bishwa Road Roundabout. While overtaking an autorickshaw on the way, he lost control of the motorcycle and hit the roadside railing hard. The two riders on the motorcycle were seriously injured. On receiving the news, Bhanga Highway Police Station and local residents rescued them and took them to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex. The doctor on duty there declared Nafiz Sheikh dead. On the other hand, when the condition of seriously injured Suman Sheikh deteriorated, he was sent to Dhaka for better treatment. Bhanga Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Sohag Mia confirmed the death in a road accident.
