Pedestrian and driver killed after motorcycle lost control on Bangaya Expressway.

Biplap Kumar Das, Staff Reporter. A pedestrian and a driver were killed when a motorcycle lost control on the Bangaya highway expressway in Faridpur. The accident took place on the Dhaka-bound lane at Bhanga Interchange area on Wednesday around 8 pm. The deceased are Hriday Sheikh (20), son of Ilyas Sheikh of Lihadharchar village of Bhanga municipality and motorcycle driver Sakib Sheikh (22), son of Enayet Sheikh of Nagarkanda upazila. According to the police, Shakib from Nagarkanda was crossing the broken interchange area on a motorcycle in the Dhaka-bound lane of the highway expressway. At that time, the pedestrian fell in front of the motorcycle while crossing the Hridiya Sheikh road. When he collided with the motorcycle, both of them died on the spot. Sub-inspector of Bhanga Highway police station Sohel Mia said, after receiving the information, the police went to the spot and recovered the bodies and motorcycles of the two victims and took them to the police station. The body will be handed over to the family after legal proceedings.
