Former BNP member secretary Mia Mostafizur Razman Mostaq alleged that external terrorists have been rehearsing in the area for the last three days to kill Nazrul Islam Molla for giving a speech accusing him of nurturing Awami League associates. He demanded that organizational action be taken against those involved in this incident. It is reported that on August 15, at a discussion meeting on the 82nd birth anniversary of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Prayat Begum Khaleda Zia, Taltoli Upazila BNP former member secretary Mia Mostafizur Rahman Mostaq made a scathing statement against Barguna District BNP convener and District Council Administrator Md. Nazrul Islam Molla, accusing him of fostering the Awami League. When Mostaq's statement was spread on social media, two groups of Taltoli Upazila BNP got into a public dispute. Extreme tension arose among the party leaders and activists over this. A section of Upazila BNP, Jubo Dal, Sramik Dal and Chhatra Dal took the side of Mostaq, and a section of Upazila BNP, Jubo Dal and Chhatra Dal led by former Taltoli Upazila BNP convener Shahidul Haque took the side of Nazrul Islam Molla. Both groups took opposing positions. Trinamool leaders and activists are afraid of a major clash. In such a situation, BNP leader Mostaq called for a protest march at 3 pm on Wednesday against the anarchy and misdeeds of the Awami League. On the other hand, a section of the Upazila BNP, Jubo Dal, and Chhatra Dal, led by former Taltoli Upazila BNP convener Md. Shahidul Haque, called for a counter-protest meeting in protest of Mostaq's abusive speech surrounding Barguna District BN convener Md. Nazrul Islam Molla. Panic spread among Trinamool leaders and activists as the two Upazila BNP groups called for meetings in the Upazila town. The Upazila administration feared a severe deterioration in law and order. To maintain law and order, the Taltoli Upazila and police administration stopped the activities of the two groups on Wednesday afternoon. On Wednesday afternoon, the local people arrested foreign terrorists Jihad Khan (35), Hridoy Molla (25), Anik Majumder (25), Limon Sikder (28) and Jamal Mallick (27) along with pistols, bullets and magazines. Former member secretary of Taltoli Upazila BNP, Mia Mostafizur Rahman Mostaq, said, I had called for a protest march and meeting against the Awami League anarchy and misdeeds, but the administration stopped it. He also said, his supporters brought in outsiders to kill me for speaking out against Barguna District BNP convener Nazrul Islam Molla. In the meantime, the local people and police administration have detained five people with pistols and bullets. I have demanded that the central leaders take organizational action against Nazrul Islam Molla, who nurtured the Awami League, and his associates. Former convener of Taltoli Upazila BNP, Md.
