Banned Chhatra League torch procession in Faridpur.l

Biplap Kumar Das, Staff Reporter: On the occasion of the grenade attack day on August 21, the leaders and activists of the banned organization Chhatra League held a torch procession late at night in Bhanga of Faridpur. A video of the procession went viral on social media. It is known that this torch procession was organized in the Bhanga Roundabout late at night on Friday (August 21). Faridpur District Chhatra League President Syed Tamjidul Rashid Chowdhury Rian posted a 1 minute 40 second video of the procession on his personal Facebook ID. In the video, it can be seen that several youths are chanting various political and party slogans with torches. When contacted, Chhatra League leader Syed Tamjidul Rashid Chowdhury Rian said that on the occasion of August 21 Voyal Grenade Attack Day, the procession was led by Bhanga Upazila Chhatra League worker Kayes on his orders. On the other hand, when attention was drawn to this march of banned organizations, Faridpur Additional Superintendent of Police (broken circle) Md. Rezwan Dipu said that they had no previous information about the incident. However, the issue of the video and the procession spread through social media is being looked into.
