Fatikchhari Housewife Death Sparks Murder Case,Husband Missing.

Jahangir Alam, Staff Reporter. A wave of sensation has spread across Fatikchhari, Chattogram, following the mysterious death of a newlywed housewife named Samiha Hakim Neha (19). The incident took place late Tuesday (September 1) night in the Kandirpar area of Sundarpur Union. The victim's husband, Maruf Parvez, has been absconding since the incident. Upon receiving the news, Fatikchhari Police recovered the body from the scene. ​In connection with the incident, the victim's mother, Rupa Akter, filed a murder case with the police station, naming two individuals, including the victim's husband, along with 3 to 4 unidentified suspects. ​The deceased, Samiha Hakim Neha, was the daughter of Lokman Hakim from Raju Sultan's house in Ward No. 4 of Fatikchhari Municipality. ​According to family and local sources, Neha had been subjected to physical and mental torture by her husband, Maruf Parvez, ever since their marriage. Despite repeated objections and warnings from relatives, the abuse did not stop. ​The victim's mother, Rupa Akter, alleged, "My daughter was brutally tortured to death. Now, they are attempting to stage a suicide drama to cover up the crime." She demanded a neutral investigation into the murder and exemplary punishment for those involved. ​Rabiul Alam Khan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Fatikchhari Police Station, stated that police recovered the body late Tuesday night after being informed. A case has been registered based on the written complaint lodged by the victim's mother. ​He further added that following legal procedures, the body was sent to the Chattogram Medical College (CMC) Hospital morgue on Wednesday morning for an autopsy. The exact cause of death will be confirmed once the autopsy report is received. Police are conducting drives to arrest the accused.
