Discussion and Prayer Program Held in Kathalia BNP 48th Anniversary.

On the occasion of the 48th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), a discussion meeting, Milad and prayer program was organized by Kathalia Upazila 1 No. Chechirampur Union BNP and its associate organizations in Jhalokathi. There was huge enthusiasm and excitement among the local BNP and associate organization leaders and activists in this program. The party leaders and activists discussed BNP’s history of establishment, the party’s political ideals, the movement to establish democracy and people’s rights, and BNP’s role in the country’s political context. Chief Guest at the event was Golam Azam Saikat, leader of Jhalokathi-1 (Kathalia-Rajapur) constituency and former student leader. In his speech, Chief Guest Golam Azam Saikat said, _"Since its establishment, BNP has been working for the rights of the people of the country, for democracy, and for a multi-party political system. The party’s founding anniversary is not just a matter of celebration, but a day to renew our commitment to stand beside the people keeping the party’s ideals and goals in front.". He called on local leaders and activists to strengthen organizational activities through unity. He also emphasized increasing engagement with ordinary people by standing beside them in their joys and sorrows. Speakers at the meeting said that during BNP’s long political journey, countless party leaders and activists have played important roles in various movements and struggles. Like in the past, the party’s leaders and activists will continue to work unitedly in the future to establish democratic rights in the country. The speakers further said that to strengthen BNP at the grassroots level, mutual coordination and unity among union and ward-level leaders and activists must be further intensified. They urged to involve ordinary people in the party’s organizational activities and to give due importance to the problems and expectations of the people. Leaders and activists from various levels of Chechirampur Union BNP, Jubo Dal, Swechhasebak Dal, Chhatra Dal and other associate and affiliated organizations were present at the event. At this time, the leaders and activists also discussed various organizational matters to make the party’s founding anniversary program a success. After the discussion meeting, a special Milad and prayer program was held, praying for the forgiveness of the souls of BNP’s founder Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, departed party leaders and activists, and all those who sacrificed their lives for the country. Prayers were also offered for the BNP Chairperson, party leaders and activists, and for the peace, prosperity, and welfare of the country and the nation.
