After Losing You ! Journalist M. Badol Khandaker. I’ve understood — emptiness is also a kind of home, where no one lives, yet every night the door opens with the sound of someone returning. I sit beside that sound, I know — no one will return; still, waiting has its own stubbornness, it searches for the address of water even on the bed of a dead river. I have nothing of yours left with me... no letter, no photograph, no mark of any promise; only one evening that still doesn’t know how to become sunset inside me. So many people come and go, so many faces are erased in the crowd of time; yet it’s strange... even the attempt to forget you makes me a little more yours, every day. Maybe love doesn’t mean being close... sometimes carrying the absence of a person for an entire lifetime is what love is.
