Colorful Janmashtami Procession in Malaish, Sarail,B.Baria.

The major Hindu religious festival, the holy Janmashtami of Lord Krishna, was celebrated with religious solemnity and a festive atmosphere in the traditional village of Malaish in No. 9 Shahzadapur Union of Sarail Upazila, Brahmanbaria. On Friday, September 4, at 10 AM, a colorful procession was organized in Malaish village on the occasion of Janmashtami. Thousands of people, including devotees of Lord Krishna, men, women, children and teenagers, took part in the procession. The procession became lively and attractive with various decorations, religious symbols and depictions of different forms of Lord Krishna. The participation of children and teenagers was especially noticeable in the procession. Many children were dressed up as Lord Krishna and Radha. The streets of Malaish village resonated with the devotees' religious slogans and expressions of joy and enthusiasm. Members of law enforcement agencies were seen in front of and around the procession. The procession was completed peacefully with the overall cooperation and security arrangements of the administration. The organizers said that, as every year, various religious programs have been organized in Malaish village this year too on the occasion of Lord Krishna's birth anniversary. They added that such religious events play an important role in spreading the message of harmony, peace and human welfare. Devotees who participated in the procession said they joined the Janmashtami event with great joy and enthusiasm. They expressed gratitude to the administration and all concerned for the event being held in a beautiful and peaceful environment.
