Mirza Fakhrul Alamgir receives civic reception in his own area for the first time.

Mohinul Islam Sujan. President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir arrived in Thakurgaon today for the first time on a two-day visit after assuming office. The helicopter carrying the President landed at Thakurgaon Mohammad Ali Stadium at 1 pm on Sunday (September 6). The President's wife Rahat Ara Begum was with him at the time. At the helipad, the convener of the civic reception committee Dr. Khairul Kabir, Thakurgaon District BNP President Mirza Faisal Amin, General Secretary Poygam Ali, Thakurgaon District Mohila Dal President Faratun Nahar Peris and Rangpur Divisional Commissioner and DIG, Thakurgaon Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police and other high-ranking officials welcomed the President. Later, a team of Bangladesh Police provided a guard of honor to the President at Thakurgaon Circuit House. After inspecting the guard, President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir went to Senua Cemetery to visit the graves of his parents. After visiting the graves of his parents and offering prayers, he inquired about the devotees of the nearby mosque. Later, the President went to his residence in Thakurgaon town. It is learnt that President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will attend a civic reception organized in his honor at the big ground of Thakurgaon Government Boys High School in the afternoon on the first day of his visit to Thakurgaon.
