Pirojpur Declared a School Dropout Free Upazila.

Adol Pirojpur District Correspondent A closing ceremony of the initiative to eliminate child labour and declare Pirojpur a child labour and school dropout free Upazila was held with the support of the District and Upazila Administration of Pirojpur and organized by Pirojpur Area Development Programme (ADP), World Vision Bangladesh. The programme aimed to eliminate child labour and bring children who have dropped out of school back into the mainstream education system. Linda Dafo Manager of World Vision Pirojpur Area Programme presided over the event. District Commissioner and District Magistrate Abu Sayeed attended the programme as the chief guest. Speakers at the event emphasized the importance of eliminating child labour, bringing school dropout children back to school, and ensuring their education and protection. They stressed the need for collective efforts by government and non-government organizations, teachers, parents and members of society to protect children's rights and ensure a safe, supportive and child-friendly educational environment. During the programme, various initiatives and achievements aimed at bringing out of school children back to education were highlighted as part of the campaign to declare Pirojpur a school dropout free Upazila. The speakers also called upon all concerned to play a more effective role in ensuring that no child is deprived of educational opportunities or becomes involved in child labour in the future. Officials from the district and upazila administrations representatives of World Vision Bangladesh, teachers, parents, students, stakeholders and representatives from different professions attended the event.
