Adequate Fertilizer Stock Available, Stern Action Against Artificial Scarcity, Agriculture Minister.

Jahangir Alam, ​Staff Reporter. ​Assuring farmers not to worry about fertilizer availability, Agriculture, Fisheries, and Livestock Minister Mohammad Amin Ur Rashid stated that adequate fertilizer is currently in stock against the national demand. However, he warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone attempting to hoard fertilizer or create an artificial crisis for ill motives. ​He made these remarks on Saturday (September 12) during a views-exchange meeting with journalists in Fulgazi, Feni. The minister visited the area to inspect overall preparations ahead of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s scheduled visit to Feni on September 17. ​The minister informed that to ensure support and services for farmers, the government has taken an initiative to distribute 'Agriculture Cards' to 110,000 farmers across the country in the first phase. Among them, nearly 7,500 farmers in Feni district will receive this benefit. The program will be officially inaugurated by the Prime Minister during his visit on September 17. ​Prior to the press briefing, the Agriculture Minister inspected the venue for the Prime Minister's planned public rally in Fulgazi. During the inspection, he discussed overall preparations, security measures, and event management with senior officials from the district administration, police, and the agriculture department, issuing necessary instructions. ​Senior officials from the district administration, police department, and the Ministry of Agriculture were present at the event.
