Human Chain Rally and Program Held Under the Initiative of Bangladesh Press Club Brahmanbaria District.

M Badal Khandaker (District Correspondent) A human chain and rally were held on 14/09/2026 at Brahmanbaria Municipal Free Stage under the initiative of Bangladesh Press Club Brahmanbaria District Branch, presided over by the founding President of the District Committee, Enamul Haque Arif. In the human chain, we are observing today's program demanding: verification of all documents related to the approval, design, clearance and construction of Ekhlaq Home Building; inspection of whether under-construction multi-storied buildings in Brahmanbaria Municipality have approval; removal of Sharif ul Islam, Deputy Secretary of Brahmanbaria Municipality; investigation and legal action against Murad Hossain Bhuiyan for operating as a developer without a license; and effective measures against construction work without municipal approval. The developer license and the legality of the related activities of developer Murad Hossain Bhuiyan must be verified, and the approval, design and other necessary documents of the multi-storied buildings under him must be examined. We believe that to build a planned and safe city, it must be ensured that no individual, institution or influential group causes any violation of laws and rules in the case of building construction. Otherwise, in the interest of public welfare, the safety of city residents and the professional duties of journalists, we will be compelled to adopt stricter and larger programs in consultation with journalists from the 9 upazilas of Bangladesh Press Club Brahmanbaria District Branch. Speakers at the human chain program included: Founding President of Brahmanbaria District Committee, journalist Enamul Haque Arif; General Secretary of the District Committee, journalist Abu Taher; General Secretary of Brahmanbaria District Sadar Upazila, journalist Arif; President of Sarail Upazila Committee, journalist M Badal Khandaker; General Secretary, journalist Rounak Khan; President and General Secretary of Akhaura Upazila Committee; President and General Secretary of Nasirnagar Upazila; and all journalists from the district and upazila committees.
