Three sons attempt to beat their own father to death over ancestral property dispute in Shahbazpur village, M Badal Khandaker (District Representative) In Chandu Mia Para, Shahbazpur village, Sarail Upazila, three sons, Afsar Rashid, Tutul Rashid, and Tanvir Rashid, severely beat and injured their own father, Janu Mia, over a dispute regarding ancestral property. It is to be noted that the injured Janu Mia is the biological father of Afsar Rashid, Tutul Rashid, and Tanvir Rashid. For a long time, they have been pressuring their father Janu Mia to transfer all his personal property to the names of his three sons and have beaten and injured him several times. At that time, the injured Janu Mia sought legal help and had Afsar Rashid sent to jail. A few days ago, Afsar Rashid was released on bail from jail after giving a bond. On September 19, in the afternoon, Afsar Rashid, Tutul Rashid, and Tanvir Rashid again pressured their biological father Janu Mia to transfer the property. When the injured Janu Mia refused to transfer the property, an argument started between them. At that point, the three sons became agitated, brought a ramda (sharp weapon) from the house, and hacked their father Janu Mia indiscriminately, severely injuring him. The injured Janu Mia then collapsed to the ground and blood flowed continuously from his nose and mouth. At that time, locals rescued the injured Janu Mia and sent him to B-Brahmanbaria Hospital, but as his condition was critical, the B-Brahmanbaria hospital authorities referred him to Dhaka. The locals and the concerned authorities are drawing the attention of the administration to bring the three sons under the law and ensure proper justice.
