What beautiful innocent children in Tahirpur of Sunamganj, three children have died after their father made them drink poison. After making his children drink poison, he also drank poison himself. The father has been sent to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital in critical condition. The incident happened at around 1:00 AM on Friday night (18 September) in Rajaniline village of North Bordal Union of the upazila. The deceased children are Mawa Akter (10), daughter of Sarafat Ali of Rajaniline village, and sons Shamim Mia (7) and Tamim Mia (2). Their father Sarafat Ali (35) is currently under treatment. According to local residents and police sources, Sarafat Ali's wife Fatema Begum went abroad to Saudi Arabia three days ago. On Friday night, Sarafat Ali went to sleep in his house with his three children. Later, at around 1:00 AM, he reportedly drank pesticide along with his three children. After drinking poison, Sarafat Ali informed one of his aunts living in Mymensingh over mobile phone and asked her not to hold any grudge. Upon learning about it, his aunt informed Rahmat Ali, Sarafat Ali's younger brother who was at home. Later, Rahmat Ali and other family members quickly went to Sarafat Ali's house, broke down the door and rescued the four.
