Full Committee of Bangladesh Journalists Development Association Mirsarai Unit Formed ​Jahangir Alam, Staff Reporter. An 11-member full executive committee for the Mirsarai Upazila unit of the Bangladesh Journalists Development Association (BJDA) has been approved by its Chittagong Divisional Committee. The announcement was made in a press release signed by the President and General Secretary of the Chittagong Divisional Committee on Monday (September 21). ​In the newly formed committee, Jahangir Alam (Daily Bangladesh Media) has been nominated as President, while Sakib Chowdhury (Daily Sorojomin Barta) will serve as General Secretary. ​The other office-bearers of the committee are: ​Vice-President: Abu Shahadat Nayan (Movie Bangla TV) ​Joint General Secretary: Jahangir Alam (My TV) ​Organizing Secretary: Babul Miah (Sangbad Diganta) ​Joint Organizing Secretary: Arafat Hossain (Amar Barta) ​Publicity Secretary: Zohir Khan (ST Bangla TV) ​Finance Secretary: Tanvir Hossain (Weekly Nirorbik) ​Office Secretary: Sujit Banik (Prime TV) ​Sports Secretary: Nurul Amin (Daily Gonokantho) ​Executive Member: Md. Mehedi Hasan (ST Bangla TV) ​Leadership of the BJDA Chittagong Divisional Committee expressed optimism that the newly constituted committee will play a vital role in upholding objective journalism, protecting the interests of local journalists, and fostering their overall development.
