Death Claim Cheques Distributed by National Life Insurance in Jaintapur Naeem Ahmed, Jaintapur-Gowainghat Sylhet. A cheque distribution ceremony for death claims of National Life Insurance PLC (Janabima), along with a doa and milad mahfil, was held in Jaintapur, Sylhet. The event was organized on Monday (September 21) at noon at the office of the Jaintapur Truck Drivers’ Workers Sub-Committee. The programme was chaired by Md. Nasir Uddin, Head of the Jaintapur Zone of National Life Insurance PLC. Fakhrul Islam, Chairman of Jaintapur Union Parishad, attended the event as the chief guest. Among others present were Jaintapur Union Parishad member and President of the Upazila Muktijoddha Dal Harun-ur Rashid Sarkar; former President of Jaintapur Press Club Nurul Islam; reserved ward member Khorsheda Begum; social worker and proposed Jaintapur municipality councillor candidate Delwar Hossain; Vice-President of the Jaintapur Truck Drivers’ Workers Sub-Committee Arab Ali; President of Jaintapur Human Rights Organization Abul Khayer; Assistant General Manager of Janabima Arif Ahmed; Branch Manager Rozina Akter; Bishnu Pada Das; Desk Officer Shafiqul Rahman; student leader Zubayer Ahmed, among others. Speakers at the event said that life insurance plays an important role in ensuring financial security and contributing to the development of individuals and society. As part of its social responsibility, National Life Insurance PLC (Janabima) has paid the death claim benefits. They expressed their gratitude to the company for providing the claim cheques on time. At the ceremony, a cheque worth Tk 248,400 was handed over to the family of deceased truck worker Jamal Uddin. In addition, claim cheques totaling Tk 611,911 were distributed among 11 customers, including 10 other customers from Jaintapur. Later, a special doa and munajat was held seeking forgiveness for the deceased and peace and well-being for their bereaved family members.
