Kalapara (Patuakhali) Correspondent. The government's compulsory primary education program in Kalapara of Patuakhali is in a bad state. Despite the government's multidimensional allocation of funds to improve the quality of primary education, providing stipends to students, children are dropping out of schools. Lack of supervision in schools due to shortage of manpower in education office, shortage of teachers, lack of coaching of teachers, loss of government allocation, inefficient school management committee as the underlying reasons, but the concerned authorities have not taken any visible steps to ensure quality education environment in schools, the parents and locals have complained. On Tuesday, it was found that the Biburn national flag was flying on the flag stand at Badurtali (1) Government Primary School No. 151 in Patuakhali's Kalapara Municipal Suburb. The school building has not been touched by development for a long time. No government grant or development allocation has reached here. Students are playing sports during class. The head teacher's room is empty. He met at Milna School. An assistant teacher named Zakir was seen in the teacher's auditorium, and three female assistant teachers were seen teaching the classroom with a few first-shift students. However, most of the students were found to be indifferent. Although there were 21 students in the attendance book, in reality 10/12 students were seen sitting on the floor of the classroom. Assistant teacher Maksuda Parveen is taking the class. He has no training in pre-primary teaching. The toilet next to the class room is seen to be locked. The tubewell installed for clean water was broken for about one and a half years. The water in the wash block tank constructed in the school premises is drawn twice a month but is always unclean. Even though the students are panting in the heat, there is no opportunity to drink clean water anywhere. The demand of students and parents for clean water does not seem to touch the headmistress Sumaiya Nasreen, who has been working in the same school for two decades. It is known from the sources of primary education officeIn 171 government primary schools of Kalapara, 108 head teacher posts are vacant, 42 assistant teacher posts are vacant.
