Son arrested for attempting hack,father to death in Shahbazpur,

Taslima Khandaker Nushrat (Sarail Upazila) In Chandu Mia Para, Shahbazpur village of Sarail Upazila, three sons - Afsar Rashid, Tanvir Rashid, and Tutul Rashid and others - brutally hacked and critically injured their biological father over ancestral homestead land dispute. Local residents rescued the injured father, Janu Mia, and admitted him to the hospital. Currently, seriously injured Janu Mia is fighting for his life. On 22/09/2026, the injured Janu Mia's wife filed a case at Sarail Police Station as plaintiff against six persons including the three sons Afsar Rashid, Tanvir Rashid and Tutul Rashid. Case No. 29, Annual Number - 362, Law and Sections: 143/447/323/326/307/506, The Penal Code-1860. On the instructions of Sarail Police Station Officer-in-Charge Munjur Kader Bhuiyan, under the leadership of SI Sudip Kumar, an operation was conducted and at 1:00 PM on 23/09/2026, the No. 1 accused Afsar Rashid was arrested from in front of Ashik Tea Shop at Shahbazpur 1st Gate and then produced before the court. The concerned authorities demand that he be brought under proper justice and given appropriate punishment so that no child in the future can carry out such sudden attacks on parents.
