Aruail UP Chairman Mosharraf Hossain Arrested,

M. Badal Khandaker (District Correspondent ) Police have arrested Md. Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, Chairman of Aruail Union Parishad in Sarail Upazila of Brahmanbaria. He was arrested yesterday, Thursday (September 24), in the evening during a special operation. Immediately after the arrest, he was brought to Sarail Police Station custody under heavy security. According to a responsible police source, UP Chairman Md. Mosharraf Hossain was a named accused in a regular case listed by the police. He was arrested following legal process in connection with that specific case. Confirming the arrest, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sarail Police Station Md. Monzur Kader Bhuiyan told the media, "Aruail Union Parishad Chairman Md. Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan has been arrested by police in a regular case. Further action is being taken against him as per law." However, police declined to immediately disclose details regarding the specific number of the case filed against him, the description of the complaint, or under which sections he has been accused, in the interest of investigation. According to local political and social sources, the arrested Md. Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan is a resident of Bade Aruail village of Aruail Union and his father's name is Aminul Haque. In terms of political background, he was known as an active leader of Jatiya Party in the past. Later, changing his political party, he was serving as the treasurer of the Aruail Union branch committee of Bangladesh Awami League, as confirmed by multiple party sources. The arrest of a public representative in a regular police case has created widespread sensation and mixed reactions throughout Sarail upazila. The local conscious circle has demanded a fair and impartial investigation of the whole incident to uncover the real truth.
