Omar Faruk Masum from Mirsharai. Appointed as Judge in "Notun Kuri" Sports Competition Wushu Event.

Mirsarai, correspondent. Hafez Maulana Md. Omar Faruk Masum, a proud son of Khilmurari Village in Jorarganj Union, Mirsharai Upazila, has been appointed as a judge for the national final of the Wushu event in the *National "Notun Kuri" Sports Competition 2025-26. In a letter signed by *Md. Dildar Hasan Dilu*, General Secretary of Bangladesh Wushu Federation, it was stated that he is one of the 8 nationally appointed judges selected to conduct the final matches. Omar Faruk Masum is the only IOC (International Olympic Committee) certified Wushu coach from Mirsharai Upazila.Currently, he is serving as a *National Coach and Judge of Bangladesh Wushu Federation.Executive and Technical Committee Member of Bangladesh Kungfu Association,and Publicity and Publications Secretary of Bangladesh Coaches Association. Expressing gratitude to the President, General Secretary, and concerned officials of Bangladesh Wushu Federation for his appointment as a judge, he said, "It is a matter of pride to be given this responsibility at the national level. He also mentioned, "There is no alternative to sports to keep the youth free from drugs and to build them up physically and mentally.
