Former General Secretary of Chhatra League Mehdi Hasan Arrested, Sent to Jail.

He was arrested by the Shahjahanpur Thana Police of the DMP. A General Diary (GD) has been filed in this regard at Shahjahanpur Police Station. GD No. - 1024, Date: 18/09/2026. The arrested Mehdi Hasan's village home is in Shahbazpur village of Sarail Upazila of Brahmanbaria district. He is known as a popular face in Shahbazpur and Sarail Upazila. Everyone adores and respects Mehdi Hasan as a beloved, well-mannered and gentle boy. The family claims that Mehdi Hasan has been kept in jail in a false case as part of a conspiracy. According to family sources, on the night Mehdi Hasan was detained, he was detained on his way home from a restaurant. No trace of him was found throughout the night. Although family members searched at Khilgaon Police Station, Sabujbagh Police Station and Shahjahanpur Police Station at night, they did not get any information. In the morning, after inquiring again at Shahjahanpur Police Station, it was learned, then Mehdi Hasan's younger brother Ifat Khandaker filed a written complaint at Khilgaon Police Station. Mehdi Hasan has been sent to court. In the afternoon he was brought on a 3-day remand. According to police sources, he was arrested in a case filed under the Explosive Substances Act and taken on a 3-day remand. After the 3-day remand ended, when he was produced in court on Thursday, the court rejected his bail and ordered him to be sent to jail custody.
