Special Drive to Restore Road Order in Rajshahi, 55 Vehicles Seized.

Sohel Rana, Rajshahi Correspondent ​The Traffic Division of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) and 12 local police stations conducted a day-long special checkpoint and enforcement drive across Rajshahi city to establish road order, ensure safe movement, and prevent law violations. ​The operation was carried out throughout the day on Friday (October 2) at key locations across the metropolitan area. ​During the drive, a total of 720 vehicles of various types were inspected. A total of 55 cases were filed against different vehicles—including trucks, microbuses, private cars, easy-bikes, auto-rickshaws, and motorcycles—for violating various provisions of the Road Transport Act, 2018. Additionally, 55 vehicles were seized. ​RMP stated that such operations will continue to maintain discipline on the roads, ease traffic congestion, prevent accidents, and ensure safer roads. ​In this regard, the police urged city residents to comply with the Road Transport Act and cooperate with law enforcement to ensure safe movement and keep the roads secure.
