Exchange Meeting of Shahjadapur UP Members and Zila Parishad Administrator Held in Sarail.

Taslima Khandaker Nushrat (From Sarail Upazila) A special exchange and overall development discussion meeting was held between the public representatives and local general people of 9 No. Shahjadapur Union Parishad of Sarail Upazila of Brahmanbaria and the administrator of the Zila Parishad. The meeting was held on October 3, 2026 (Saturday) at the Parishad office organized by Shahjadapur Union Parishad. With the Administrator of Shahjadapur Union Parishad Md. Parvez Ahmed in the chair, the chief guest present at the event was the Administrator of Brahmanbaria Zila Parishad Alhaj Sirajul Islam Siraj. Present were General Secretary of Sarail Upazila BNP Advocate Nuruzzaman Laskar Tapu as well as Senior Vice-President of Sarail Upazila BNP Arsaful Karim Ripon, representative of Daily Dinkal newspaper journalist Yasin Khan Ripu and member of Sarail Upazila Press Club and staff reporter of Daily Swadesh Bichitra newspaper Asim Chandra Das as guests at the said exchange meeting. In addition, all levels of UP members of Shahjadapur Union, leaders of various political parties of the area, village police and a large number of local general public participated in the meeting. At the beginning of the meeting, the president of the event and UP Administrator Md. Parvez Ahmed welcomed the chief guest with floral greetings and a bouquet. Then at the beginning of the formal discussion, the chief guest heard the introduction of all ward members and women members of Shahjadapur Union and heard descriptions of the existing problems and civic sufferings of their respective areas. At this time, Nazma Akhtar, reserved women member of Wards 1, 2 and 3, presented her identity and strongly demanded immediate renovation work on both sides of the connecting road of the CNG station bridge adjacent to Shahjadapur village and on both mouths of the canal. In addition, UP members Nepal Chowdhury, Aliraj, reserved women member Kakali Rani Das and other general and reserved members of the parishad highlighted various problems of roads, waterlogging and infrastructure of their respective wards. After the speeches of the public representatives, Advocate Nuruzzaman Laskar Tapu, General Secretary of Sarail Upazila BNP, in his present speech, highly praised the overall development of 9 No. Shahjadapur Union and this coordinated initiative of the local administration and wished for its complete success. In the main attraction of the event, in the speech of the chief guest, Zila Parishad Administrator Alhaj Sirajul Islam Siraj said, "Geographically and structurally, Shahjadapur Union has remained neglected for a long time. However, I want to assure you, as long as I am in charge, you will contact me directly for any civic facility. No medium or broker is needed. He further warned and said, "It will not cost a single taka to get any work resolved or allocation from me. If any kind of irregularity or corruption is proven against any officer-employee of my office, then either their job will not remain, or I myself will leave this responsibility of honesty. I will work to solve the problems of this region as much as possible, and in case of big projects, I will try to find a solution by talking to the office of the Honorable Chief Adviser if necessary. After the exchange and discussion meeting, a special tree plantation program was held on the parishad premises. The chief guest and invited guests inaugurated the program by planting saplings with their own hands. Finally, the event ended in a very festive atmosphere with a vote of thanks from the president of the meeting and UP Administrator Md. Parvez Ahmed.
