4.653 Million Taka Worth of Smuggled Goods Seized in Sylhet Battalion (48 BGB) Operations.

Naeem Ahmed, Jaintapur-Gowainghat Sylhet. A large quantity of smuggled goods has been seized in separate operations conducted by Sylhet Battalion (48 BGB). The estimated value of the seized goods is approximately Tk 4.653 million (Tk 46 lakh 53 thousand). According to Sylhet Battalion (48 BGB), members of different Border Outposts (BOPs) conducted the operations as part of regular anti-smuggling drives and intelligence activities along the border. During the operations, various Indian products and other smuggled goods were seized from different border areas. The seized items included various types of Indian products and other materials that were being illegally brought into Bangladesh. BGB said that its operations to prevent smuggling and illegal entry along the border will continue. BGB members remain vigilant to protect the country's interests, ensure border security and curb smuggling.
