Taslima Khandaker Nushrat (Staff Reporter) Winning by a huge margin as a BNP candidate for the first time since independence from Brahmanbaria-1 constituency, he is now representing the constituency in the Jatiya Sangsad. He is the struggling President of Nasirnagar Upazila BNP and a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock. Earlier, he served as the General Secretary of Nasirnagar Upazila BNP for a long time and is currently serving as its President. He has also been elected as the Vice-President of the Central Committee of Zia Sangskritik Sangathan (JISAS). M A Hannan, who came up from student politics, was active on the streets from the anti-autocracy movement to the 17-year-long anti-Awami fascist movement. He had to go to jail many times for this. To the locals, he is known as a symbol of courage and sacrifice. He was born in a family of martyrs of the great Liberation War. He served as the successful Chairman of Gokarna Union Parishad for 14 consecutive years. As a newly elected Member of Parliament, he was given a civic reception by the Nasirnagar Upazila Association, Dhaka. He called upon everyone, regardless of party affiliation, to work together for the development of Nasirnagar.
