State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaid commented that if the opposition party does not play the role of the opposition party and the fascist forces rise again, then the Gupta Jamaat will have to take the responsibility for the return of fascism in Bangladesh. He made this comment while addressing the chief guest at a protest march and rally organized by BNP at Nagarkanda in Faridpur on Friday evening against the creation of terrorism, anarchy and instability across the country. Shama Obaid said, I have seen torture for 17 years, I have seen assault cases, I have seen disappearances. As the students have defeated the dictatorship and the country is moving towards stability, fascist forces are trying to rise again. He also said that Awami League has committed the most corruption in the power sector. He commented that no work was done in this sector even during the Yunus government. Pointing out that the present government is trying to normalize this sector smoothly, Shama Obaid said that the government is emphasizing on power generation by using its own resources. Calling on the party leaders and workers to be careful, Shama Obaid said that everyone should be careful so that dictatorial forces do not enter the party and do any harm. He said, BNP also stands against those who want to hide and insult the freedom fighters.The protest march organized by BNP took out from the Nagarkanda Sadar petrol pump and circled the main thoroughfare of the city. Later the program ended with a short rally at the Nagarkanda MN Academy ground.
