Chhagalnaiya Police Hold Security, Harmony Meeting Ahead of Durga Puja.

Staff Reporter. CHHAGALNAIYA (FENI): Chhagalnaiya police hosted a coordination and view-exchange meeting on the police station premises to ensure a peaceful, secure, and festive atmosphere during the upcoming Sharadiya Durga Puja. Presidents, general secretaries of the five major puja mandaps in the upazila, and senior leaders of the Upazila Puja Udjapan Parishad attended the meeting. Discussions focused on maintaining law and order, reinforcing communal harmony, and ensuring absolute security throughout the festival. To prevent any untoward incidents and guarantee full protection for devotees, several key directives were issued during the session: CCTV Surveillance: Mandatory 24/7 operational CCTV cameras must be installed at all puja mandaps to maintain strict monitoring. Volunteer Deployment: Mandap authorities must deploy their own trained volunteer teams alongside law enforcement personnel to manage security and crowd control. Security of Devotees and Idols: Round-the-clock vigilance will be maintained around the mandaps and idols, alongside systematic arrangements to manage the smooth flow of visiting devotees. Leaders of the Puja Udjapan Parishad and the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chhagalnaiya Police Station assured each other of full cooperation. The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both sides expressing commitment to maintaining religious harmony and non-communal values for a seamless festival.
