Accused in Sitakunda Monjur Murder Case Arrested from Fatikchhari.

M Oliullah Nizami, Chattogram District Correspondent. SRB-7, Chattogram has arrested Jahangir Hossain alias Roni, the No. 4 FIR-named accused in the murder case of Md. Monjur Ahmed in Sitakunda, Chattogram. He was arrested in a raid in the Samitir Hat area under Fatikchhari Police Station in the district at around 6:35 pm on October 11. According to sources from SRB-7, Chattogram, based on secret information, they learned that Jahangir Hossain alias Roni, an FIR-named accused in the Monjur Ahmed murder case filed with Sitakunda Police Station, was staying in the Fatikchhari Police Station area. Based on this information, an operational team of SRB-7, Chattogram conducted a raid in the Samitir Hat area and arrested him. The arrested Jahangir Hossain alias Roni (37) is a resident of Golabaria area of Sitakunda upazila. His father's name is Mali Haque. According to police sources, the case number at Sitakunda Police Station is 50/485, dated September 27, 2026. The case was filed under Sections 143, 324, 325, 326, 306, 385, 506(2) and 34 of the Penal Code. Later, Section 302 of the Penal Code was added to it. After the arrest, the accused was handed over to the Hathazari Model Thana Police in Chattogram for further legal action.
