In an operation by Zorarganj Thana Police - 01 accused in a previous case, 01 accused with CR warrant and 6-month CR sentence warrant, 01 accused under CR warrant and 04 drug abusers sentenced. Under the leadership of Mr. Abdul Halim, Officer-in-Charge of Zorarganj Thana, conducting operations: SI (Unarmed) Matiur Rahman along with fellow officers and force conducted an operation and arrested Md. Nur Hossain (24), father - Amir Hossain, mother - Roksana Akter, Village - West Alinagar, Ward No. 8, No. 1 Karerhat UP, PS - Zorarganj, District - Chattogram, who was a suspected accused in the investigation of Zorarganj Thana Case No. - 05, Date - 07/10/2024, Sections - 143/341/323/325/326/307/379/506/109/114 Penal Code, from Madhyam Karerhat Bazar at 00:10 hours on 23/10/2026. - ASI (Unarmed) Md. Abdul Momin along with fellow officers and force arrested a total of 02 accused: 1. Badsha, father - Rabiul Haque, Village - Sattarua, present Koyla, PS - Zorarganj, District - Chattogram, who was convicted in Forest Case No. 14/17, Section - 26(1A) of the Forest Act and accused in Forest Case No. 242/22 (Zorarganj), Section - 26(1A)(Kha)(Gha) of the Forest Act, from Sattarua area under Zorarganj Thana on 12/09/2026 at 20:30 hours, and Md. Didar, father - Late Nurul Amin Driver, Village - Koyla, Post Office - Koyla Bazar, PS - Zorarganj, District - Chattogram, accused in Forest - 97/23 (Zorarganj), Section - 26(1A)(Kha)(Gha) of the Forest Act, from Koyla Bazar area under Zorarganj Thana on 12/09/2026 at 21:30 hours. - As part of the anti-narcotics operation under the leadership of Mr. Abdul Halim, Officer-in-Charge of Zorarganj Thana, under the direction of the Honorable Range DIG, Chattogram, regular operations were conducted from 00:30 hours on 13/12/2026. Mr. Tanvirul Kader, Assistant Commissioner (Land), Mirsarai Upazila, participated in the said operation. During the operation, 4 drug abusers were sentenced to 3 days of simple imprisonment each. Proper legal action has been taken against the accused and they have been produced before the learned court.
