Schoolgirl Dies of Measles in chattagram Chandanaish.

Staff Reporter ​A 12-year-old schoolgirl died from measles while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in chattagram city on Wednesday afternoon. ​The deceased was identified as Raisa Tania Radhika, a seventh-grade student at Dohazari Jamijuri Girls' High School. She was the daughter of Mohammad Ali, a resident of the Ghorapara area in Jamijuri under Dohazari Municipality in Chandanaish Upazila. ​According to school and local sources, Radhika first fell ill about 20 days ago. After temporarily recovering, she went to visit her sister's house, where she contracted measles and became critically ill. As her condition deteriorated rapidly, she was admitted to Chittagong National Hospital, where she breathed her last on Wednesday afternoon. ​A heartbreaking scene unfolded at Dohazari Jamijuri Girls' High School around 3:00 PM on Wednesday when an ambulance carrying Radhika's body arrived on the school premises. Classmates, teachers, and students broke down in tears upon seeing the lifeless body of their peer, casting a deep gloom over the entire school campus. ​Expressing deep grief over the tragic loss, Bishnu Jasha Chakraborty, headmaster of Dohazari Jamijuri Girls' High School, said, "We are profoundly shocked and saddened by the sudden and untimely death of Radhika. The loss of such a young life has deeply pained the teachers, students, and the entire local community."
