Jahangir Alam, Staff Reporter Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized a large quantity of illicit drugs during two separate operations along the Chhagalnaiya border in Feni. In the drives, personnel from Feni Battalion (4 BGB) recovered 36 kg of cannabis, 47 bottles of Phensedyl, and 5 bottles of Indian liquor. The seized drugs were subsequently handed over to Chhagalnaiya Police Station for further legal proceedings. Commenting on the operation, Lieutenant Colonel Md. Hasibul Islam, PSC, Commanding Officer of Feni Battalion (4 BGB), stated that BGB remains on high alert to curb border crimes, prevent illegal entry, and stop the spread of drugs. He reaffirmed that such regular and special drives will continue in line with BGB’s 'zero tolerance' policy against drugs.
