Cleanliness Drive by Pirojpur Municipality in the DC Para Area.

Pirojpur Corresponden. As part of its efforts to prevent dengue, the Pirojpur Municipality has conducted a cleanliness drive in the DC Para area (Ward No. 5), which included the cleaning of a local canal. On Monday, municipal cleaning staff carried out sanitation activities across various locations in Ward No. 5, including the canal in the DC Para area. During the operation, larvicides and adulticides were sprayed to curb the breeding of Aedes mosquitoes. Present on the occasion were Mahmudur Rahman Mamun, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) and Administrator of the Pirojpur Municipality; Boni Amin, Municipal Executive Officer; and Towhidul Islam, Organizing Secretary of the Pirojpur Municipal unit of the BNP. Other municipal officials, representatives from civil society, and members of the media were also in attendance. In addition to cleaning the canal in the DC Para area (Ward No. 5), mosquito-control spraying was conducted in the surrounding vicinity. Cleanliness drives are currently underway, both day and night, across all nine wards of the Pirojpur Municipality. Mahmudur Rahman Mamun, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) and Administrator of the Pirojpur Municipality, stated that such public welfare initiatives aimed at combating dengue will continue.
